Comedial First Date

Okok so that's not really what that happened :P At least not all... except the romantic parts, hahah luckily I didn't need to concoct that up. Here goes...!

So he said he would pick me up between 6.30-7.00p.m. And by 6.30p.m., I was nowhere near ready. My close friends and housemates would know I'm the type of person where punctuality means half an hour late. And that spelt bad for him... for when he called at 6.30p.m. sharp I told him I was not ready and asked him to wait in the car. LOL.

In a blunder, I hurriedlly picked what to wear and as a result, dropped both my contact lenses down the sink. As I opened my door to shout for my housemate, there he was already standing in front of my bedroom door with a bouquet of flowers in his hand...!! #%$#^%#&@# to the person who let him in... I was not ready, with my hair up and my makeup not done. I was only thankful that I was no longer wrapped in my towel when I opened my bedroom door. This was already turning into a typical date in American comedies where the boy needs to wait for the girl for half an hour in her flat. Like Rachel in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Hahahhaa...

Anyhow, he presented the flowers to me and on our way to the lift, I told him, "This is what happens when two calamity people go on a date..." Hahaha... Anyway he did do the "whisk me away" thing and we found ourselves seated in a flurry by the waiters at our dinner table in the Mansion where everyone around us was dining in complete and utter silence. Surprisingly, my date didn't know that 32 Mansion was a fine-dining place... you know those type of places where there are more platters and knives and forks and spoons than you can handle. *blink*
Throughout our dinner, we couldn't help but have the feeling that we were on some comedy show being watched by an audience just awaiting for something calamity to befall us that night LOL. Luckily for us, everything went pretty well and soon enough there was a table of people who spoke so loudly and cheerfully they drowned out the silence and we could joke and laugh more freely :D The food was sumptuous sumptuous sumptuous by the way...!

After that we took a short stroll on the verandah by the sea... I'm guessing it could've been more romantic... but due to lack of time-management, we had to leave soon to catch our movie. For our movie choice on our first date, we actually went to watch Hannibal Rising which is so NOT-A-DATE-MOVIE. This should serve as a warning to all of you who are going on first dates not to watch something gory and gruesome like that on a first date, especially after having a big meal consisting of meat. Anyhow I omitted that movie from our date-memory and so, all-in-all, it definately still was a perfect first date for me... :))
