I Love You

They say a picture paints a thousand words...

He asked me again during the perfect candlelight dinner...
And I said "Yes!"
Not because of the lovely settings,
Not because of his persistence and his courage,
Not because he swept me off my feet...
But because I know,
I'm ready to love him now...

At last, he found me... and at that single moment, I believe, we were the two most happiest people on earth :)

My Green Bus

Love is like boarding a bus
The yellow one that you wait for never comes
Or is either late

When the green one comes you hesitate whether to get on it
Because you don’t know the route that it’ll take
Or where it will bring you to

Green ones just pass you by and by
Yet you never get on…
Still waiting for the yellow one

Until one day you get so darn fed-up of waiting any longer
You see a green bus
Hail it
And get on
And you’ll be surprised
It carries you away to the land of dreams…

And one day you'll find
That there's something more than just the trip on the green bus you enjoy
Not just the jazzy music it plays
Not the aircon not the comfy seats not the endless supply of icecream
Nor the lovely country view outside the window

You start to wonder why
Then one fine day you find flakes of green on the seat
You see a reflection on the glass windows outside
The skin of the bus starts to peel

And you suddenly realise
That underneath that dingy colour of green
Lies that shiny coat of yellow that you've been waiting for all along

My Green Bus...

Him: "What?"
Me: "I forgot d. If I were a fish, I would be Dory."
Him: "Guess what was my first perl code when I was an intern?"
Him: "I love Dory"
Me: "No way.......!" *Melted*

I cannot believe he gave me a sorethroat!!!!!

Mononucleosis is a viral infection causing fevers, sore throat, and swollen lymph glands, especially in the neck. It is typically caused by the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). Mononucleosis is often transmitted by saliva. While it is known as "the kissing disease," mono may begin slowly with fatigue, malaise, headache, and sore throat. The sore throat becomes progressively worse, often with enlarged tonsils covered with a whitish-yellow covering. The lymph nodes in the neck are frequently enlarged and painful. The symptoms of mono gradually subside on their own over a period of weeks to months.

Mononucleosis occurs most often in 15- to 17-year-olds.
<-- So now what, is this article trying to make me feel like we are teenagers jumping on each other at every chance!?

I mean, seriously!!!!!!!

Food Loft

I liked the mood yesterday...
just sitting there holding hands with the one you like
at a place by the sea
while sipping ice-blended juice
and listening to big-band swing and jazz

They were playing:
Aretha Franklin - Say A Little Prayer for You
Diana Krall - The Look of Love
Sam Cooke - What A Wonderful World This Would Be
Frank Sinatra - Moon River

I liked it even more...
just lying by your side
at a place called home
with your arms around me
and humming along to songs

We sang:
Robbie Williams - Better Man
Beatles - All My Loving
Mika - Grace Kelly

P/S: I got licked by Elmo, a toy-poodle during breakfast this morning! Other than that, I had half-boiled eggs and sweet kaya-toasted bread. *Smiles!*

Random Feelings

I am growing... from a size 5 to size 6
and I don't know what to wear everyday
My skirt doesn't match my shirt
and I need to stock up on basic whites and blacks
How can some people look so effortless?
I wish I had flawless skin...

I felt so happy and cheerful that Monday morning
I need to write this down before I forget
I was as chirpy as a blue bird at breakfast
I thought, someone please give me a face mask!
To cover that silly, wide smile on my face
Either that
Or someone please wipe it off my face :P

Your friends love you, I can see...
but mine love me too
so I guess I ain't that bad afterall~
Sometimes I wish they were just here beside me
so they could shield me with affection
and protect me with words

You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley~

You make me feel like Sunshine everyday
Like rainbows bursting in the sky
And birds flying around freely

How I wish it were Saturday all over again...

Comedial First Date

Okok so that's not really what that happened :P At least not all... except the romantic parts, hahah luckily I didn't need to concoct that up. Here goes...!

So he said he would pick me up between 6.30-7.00p.m. And by 6.30p.m., I was nowhere near ready. My close friends and housemates would know I'm the type of person where punctuality means half an hour late. And that spelt bad for him... for when he called at 6.30p.m. sharp I told him I was not ready and asked him to wait in the car. LOL.

In a blunder, I hurriedlly picked what to wear and as a result, dropped both my contact lenses down the sink. As I opened my door to shout for my housemate, there he was already standing in front of my bedroom door with a bouquet of flowers in his hand...!! #%$#^%#&@# to the person who let him in... I was not ready, with my hair up and my makeup not done. I was only thankful that I was no longer wrapped in my towel when I opened my bedroom door. This was already turning into a typical date in American comedies where the boy needs to wait for the girl for half an hour in her flat. Like Rachel in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Hahahhaa...

Anyhow, he presented the flowers to me and on our way to the lift, I told him, "This is what happens when two calamity people go on a date..." Hahaha... Anyway he did do the "whisk me away" thing and we found ourselves seated in a flurry by the waiters at our dinner table in the Mansion where everyone around us was dining in complete and utter silence. Surprisingly, my date didn't know that 32 Mansion was a fine-dining place... you know those type of places where there are more platters and knives and forks and spoons than you can handle. *blink*
Throughout our dinner, we couldn't help but have the feeling that we were on some comedy show being watched by an audience just awaiting for something calamity to befall us that night LOL. Luckily for us, everything went pretty well and soon enough there was a table of people who spoke so loudly and cheerfully they drowned out the silence and we could joke and laugh more freely :D The food was sumptuous sumptuous sumptuous by the way...!

After that we took a short stroll on the verandah by the sea... I'm guessing it could've been more romantic... but due to lack of time-management, we had to leave soon to catch our movie. For our movie choice on our first date, we actually went to watch Hannibal Rising which is so NOT-A-DATE-MOVIE. This should serve as a warning to all of you who are going on first dates not to watch something gory and gruesome like that on a first date, especially after having a big meal consisting of meat. Anyhow I omitted that movie from our date-memory and so, all-in-all, it definately still was a perfect first date for me... :))

Perfect First Date

"I'll whisk you away..." he whispered
I wondered, was it to that perfect dream come true

He took me to the Mansion down the street, by the sea
where the décor was perfection
and the theme was romanticism
a dozen mistletoes in a hauteur setting
and I couldn't stop gazing in awe

"10 roses? What does it mean?"
"Perfect 10 roses for the perfect woman..." he said
"But I'm not perfect", I said
"You're perfect for me..."

My feet sank, but he caught me in time
perfectly in time to lead me down the hall
through the open doors
past the jazz band playing
to our table of marinated chicken and fish
to sinful pieces of chocolate almond and walnut cakes dipped in milk
and to wonderful hours of endless conversation throughout the night

"Any reason for the date?" I asked
"I wanted to have time together with you, away from the people, away from the music, away from everything..."
"But that's not a reason..." I laughed
"Well, I just wanted to wine and dine you..."

Perfect time, perfect moment
Perfect setting, perfect feelings
Could this be perfect for me?

I just remember the way he whispered in my ear
"I'll whisk you away..."

Hey hey you you!

Hey hey you you! I don’t like your girlfriend! No way! No way! I think you need a new one! Better yet make your girlfriend disappear...

Hey hey you you! I could be your girlfriend... Hey hey you you! I know that you like me, no it's not a secret...

You’re so fine, I want you mine, you’re so delicious! I think about ya all the time you’re so addictive! Don’t you know what I could do to make you feel alright?

So come over here, tell me what I want to hear...

Send someone to love me
I need to rest in arms
Keep me safe from harm
In pouring rain

Easter Weekend

Hallelujah! Praise the Lord, for he is risen!

I had lotsa fun this weekend... despite losing my beloved denim skirt and phone pocket and handsfree (see previous post)... I had the feeling that I fully utilized every single moment of my time this weekend.

On Friday night, I attended my Masters course from 7.30-10.30p.m.

And on Saturday morning, class continued in the earlier part of the day from 9.00am-2.00p.m. Chiew Yun was here in Penang for her company's furniture fair in Queensbay Mall, so Leonard and I went to find her for lunch. We had a flaming lunch at Manhattan's Fish Market. Lovely! And glad that someone actually dreamt of the chicken-floss butter bread that I made for breakfast... :D Went back and got some beauty sleep for less than 2 hours, and I was out again with Hong and Kelly to find CY again for dinner at Lan Kwai Fong, opposite QB. My gay friend wasn't able to make it for dinner, albeit his promise. And after dinner, straightaway took off in Leo's Fifi to Batu Feringghi with the girls and Julian and Adrian. We had a peaceful, enjoyable chat about corny love-stuff (the boys!) and horoscopes and travels to Japan and Spain and Sabah in a nice little bistro by the beach called Sunset Bistro. Couldn't see the moon as it was on the other side.

On Sunday morning, I attended the Easter service at Dewan Sri Pinang as usual with James, and managed to tag Leonard along as well. Hahaha. I was picturing a nice Easter celebration with Resurrection sketches and all but halfway through the worship it seemed like it was just a normal combined church service for Penang First AOG. Sorry Leonard, hahaha, but you did enjoy the Patrick Leong's renditions and the tambourine chicks :P We had lunch afterwards in a beautifully decorated little Taiwan restaurant in One-Stop and listened to James' interesting Biblical facts. This Easter, I couldn't really get the message the guest speaker at Penang First was preaching... so I bought the Easter copy of "Every Day with Jesus" at Salvation. Hope I'll understand more about the true meaning of Easter after reading this... a relationship with Christ. At night, after eating Kelly's delicious/ nutritious homecooked meal, we sped off to QB again to watch The Reaping. Talk about a Biblical Sunday... :P And I almost laughed my head off when Kelly and Leo got on stage for the weigh-but-only-accurate-gets-the-prize contest organized by Slimming Sanctuary. Well, you would have won hands down if it were only the weigh-the-lightest contest. :P

几个星期前,我作了一个决定,报名拿MMU的part-time Masters in Engineering (Microelectronics) programme。

I've been wanting to write this since the day it happened, but it's been so busy in the office, I just couldn't find the time to do so. Here goes...

is only what I can say now.

Sorry for breaking your trust in me.
Sorry for hurting you.
Sorry for damaging our wonderful, long, built-up friendship.

If I could turn back time, I would have never said those words.
I'm so sorry...
Hope you will forgive me tomorrow.

A Continuation:
After this incident, I realised that some secrets are meant to be kept.
For secrets are like jewels between friends,
They determine the value of a friendship,
And trust.
A treasure, a solemn pledge that's supposed to last for eternity.

I'm only so glad that a timely and sincere apology was accepted,
and broken feelings mended,
and smiles and laughter exchanged once again,
and sorrows forgotten.

And I'm thankful also for other friends who supported and believed in us both;
Who showed me the meaning of true friendship,
That a true fire can withstand the mockery of harsh words and time.

Thank you my friend,
I'm so proud to have you as my friend. :)
