My Room ♥
This is going to be my temporary home for the next two years. I'm adapting to the environment here already, the weather, the food (which is good with lots of rice, pork and vege) and taking the public transport. What I need to adapt to quickly is the language, and buying stuff. And of course the lab, which starts tomorrow. Today is a public holiday in Korea, commemorating the March 1st Movement which is Korea's struggle for independence from Japanese rule.
My dormitory. Su Lin and I share a room. Our room is on the 11th floor and everytime I step into my room door I feel like I'm walking into a fridge cos there's a Samsung label on the door latch. And we use electronic card-key to access the room.
Entrance to the dorm. That's the Pukyong National University slogan "o-gul-un bu-gyeong, gae-il-un sae gae!" which translates to "Today's Pukyong, the future of tomorrow's world!"
View from my window. My room has the BEST view because we can see Busan's famous Gwangan Bridge (广安桥) from here every morning. And also, Korean boys running track... :-P
This is my side of the room. Bought this bedsheet from Akemi back in Malaysia together with my sweetie. I bought the blue body pillow and thick comforter (29,800 won) from Mega Mart. That's the balcony/ drying area. My clothes can't dry here due to the wet weather so I just let them drip dry then put them into the drawer under my bed so when the floor heats up it'll dry up my clothes inside too.
My desk and bookcase and cupboard. There's also a fridge and shoe cupboard. On the right side is our private bathroom.
Which is closet size but is very clean!
And I bought all these from Daiso for 17,000 won (RM51). Daiso is a great place to go for everyday plastic items. Laundry basket, toiletry basket, 3 tupperwares, leggings, toothbrush holder, slippers, hooks, laundry nets and a mug.
And I bought my skincare items! Nature Republic is a brand which has Rain as its brand ambassador. It's not in Malaysia yet, but I saw a big store at Taiwan's Xi Men Ding. I bought a cleanser, toner (blue, 150ml) and deep moist emulsion (green, 150ml) from the Polynesia Lagoon Water range and two nail varnish for about RM75. Shopping in Korea is a joy because they love to stuff you with freebies! The bottom range is all the samples of other moisturizers, cotton pads, biscuits and makeup bag!
