5 things I hate about winter

1) Waking up in the morning and start to put on layers and layers of clothing that makes me look as fat as a dumpling before going out. Nowadays I don't even care to check the weather forecast, I just put on everything that looks warm. And God forbid I forget my winter scarf, gloves and beanie! Then I will feel extra cold...

2) Getting my butt down on the icy cold toilet seat, and to add to the misery... washing my hands with ice cold water afterwards... Why is my lab building (one of the oldest in PKNU) toilet not equipped with bidet and toilet seat warmer? Sometimes I find myself walking to the next building block just to use the warm toilet. But recently, (stupid as I may sound) I just realized that there is another alternative to the solution! Just use the damn squat toilet! *Slaps forehead*

3) Dry skin in places where I least expect. I mean, usually I just slather lotion on my arms and legs but now I have to make sure I slather lotion on my boobs, underbelly... yikes, you get the picture.

4) Feeling so cold all the time that I just don' feel like going out, or walking back to the dorm for my meals, or going out for some shopping. So damn cold!!! Besides, the scenery outside is so bleak until there's nothing to look at! Even in the lab I feel cold where my skin is not covered. So I bought these cute hand warmers which covers my hand up to my fingers so that I can still type on the keyboard. Just feel like drinking hot coffee all the time and hibernate in my room. So funny the Koreans also have a term for hibernating (겨울잠 kyo ul cham or 'winter sleep')... haha.

5) Cold outdoors and hot/stuffy indoors. Sometimes I get a migraine from this whenever I come indoors to the dorm room, lab or bus/subway. And throughout the night when I sleep my throat gets so dry that I need to wake up and down a liter of H2O. And not to mention my phlegm that can never go away. Yucks.

OK that's the end. Can't wait to go back to Malaysia this end of the month and be greeted with warm, sunny weather and feel the warmth of my family and good, real friends! And tandoori chicken and teh tarik and nasi lemak and chicken rice and fried noodles and my mom's soup and of course not forgetting all the CNY food...!!!

P/S: One last thing on my mind. 它,终于在冬天开花了。我是说她送给我的那盆 Jurassic 植物。但是我们的友情却凋零了。所以,我把它丢掉。
