New Year

Spending the New Year at a 'new place', I'm not in South Korea anymore. But I still tried to hold on to the tradition of 해돋이 - catching the first sunrise of the new year.

I woke up at 7.00am and waited together with my hubby for the sun to rise, from the comfort of our east-facing balcony. However, it was a very cloudy morning. We waited from 7.00am to 8.30am but there was still no sun. Therefore I couldn't even observe the custom and make a wish.

Between the first few days of the New Year, I didn't really feel any excitement of the change of calendar year. I felt lethargic, even.. as I was so busy for the last few days.
