Like a dream

After two months, sometimes it still feels like a dream. It's like I'm living in a Korean drama. Phrases, people, places I see in dramas, all living, breathing, talking. In the Korean air.

Beautiful people. Beautifully decorated cafes. All the small little details, woven and patted gently, neatly, delightfully, into place. It's like they have an original sense for beauty ingrained in them or something. Girls wearing light flowery dresses and ribbons in their hair. Boys nicely dressed up in their suits and ties for Mothers' Day. Bright yellow buttercups on the sidewalk, red flowers in little brown-color flowerpots on the café window sill, beckoning to the passersby on the street to come in, sit for a little while. A little bunny sits on the blue bookshelf next to a measuring stand. Litte cupcakes with silver balls and stars on the icing screaming "Bite me! Bite me!" Chandeliers, warm lighting, brick walls, checkered cloth on the table, a cozy place for a platter of seafood spaghetti for two.

Then sometimes it gets dramatic too. Like a plot, written by some bespectacled gay scriptwriter down at KBS. The poor little Cinderella, the evil stepmother, the handsome hero. Although I wish the hero could be a little bit more handsome. The drama, the twists, the endings, tears trickle down your face but you know you can't leave the drama cos you're living in it. And sometimes, just sometimes, you escape. To a place where there's warm toast and ham drizzled with honey and three scoop icecreams, chocolate, vanilla, strawberry on a waffle. Under the tree with a boy, just for a while. A friend, someone who can take me away from here. Escapism. Even though it takes just a short while.

Is there a like button in blogger? Because i would really click it if there is 1. No particular reason. Just like what you have said. It explains what i felt also. :)
